Gina Marie Blondies

Gina Marie Blondies are a rich, chewy dessert bar layered with a soft brown sugar crust and a creamy swirl of Gina Marie Cream Cheese. Lightly golden on top and perfectly soft in the center, they’re a simple yet decadent treat made with wholesome ingredients and nostalgic flavor.

Ingredients

Crust ingredients

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

12 ounces Graziers unsalted butter (softened)

1 1/2 cups light brown sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Cream Cheese Mixture

8 ounces Gina Marie cream cheese (softened)

3 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

1 large egg yolk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  3. Whisk together flour,baking powder and salt in a large bowl. 
  4. Beat softened butter together with sugar.
  5. Add in eggs and vanilla.  Continue to beat.
  6. Add small amounts of flour mixture at a time while beating until batter forms. 
  7. Scrape the batter with a rubber spatula into the baking pan.  Smooth out evenly.
  8. Beat softened Gina Marie cream cheese with sugar in a large mixing bowl.
  9. Add egg yolks,flour and vanilla.  Continue beating for 1 minute.
  10. Pour cream cheese mixture on the crust batter.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes until lightly browned on top.  Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
